I got my last goodie box from my Wollfee (Yarn Fairy) for SP9 yesterday (let’s hear it for the mail service, zippy as always! Yeah!) and … I am absolutely stunned by how fantastic it was! I don’t have time to post photos yet, I took some last night but I was too tired to Photoshop them into shape for posting, but I couldn’t let any time go by without saying MY SECRET PAL IS THE BEST, NYAH NYAH NYAH. :D

Well, here’s a little hint about how fantastic this gift box was. I probably could have taken an hour or so to photoshop the photos and upload them to Flickr and then write up a post for the blog here, but I was too busy ballwinding some really gorgeous laceweight, casting on my shiny new Addis, and interpreting a pattern. :-)

Kid with a ball

Originally uploaded by sldownard.

The kid in the aisle is the one who grabbed the foul ball… the one that went straight from Jermaine Dye’s bat to hit me on the hip, when some guys pushed me aside in a frenzy to grab it. Foul balls hurt!

so not cool

Dear Walgreen’s at the corner of Lake Park and 55th Street in Chicago:

what’s the deal with no cadbury’s creme eggs? not the mini ones, the real ones. there weren’t any! this is the one time of year i can get them, and i love them, and you only had those stupid cadbury’s caramel eggs and the dozen pack of the mini creme eggs! WHY NO LOVE FOR THE SIMPLE MAJESTY OF THE ORIGINAL CADBURY’S CREME EGG?!

i want my sugar rush, damn you.

Dear White Sox:

that completely sucked.

self-righteously,
–s.

i could just quote April 2 2005’s blog entry verbatim at this point:

dear white sox:

thanks for picking it up, but don’t you think that really we might have been better served by pulling out contreras a little earlier? like, say, the first inning?

i’m just sayin’.

paulie’s still my guy, though.

love and criticism,
–sabrina.
