i like having a blog that isn’t subject to the whims of livejournal. and that when i discover a bug, i can actually fix. and that fixing comes before adding new features i shall never use. and my css works. and it lets me post when i want to, not when it wants me to. and, and, and.
downloaded Help yesterday, another download-for-charity gig. though this one was priced outright, £3.50, rather than soliciting a donation on the honor system.
it’s a fairly nice, laid-back album. i don’t think much of it is new, but a lot of it was new to me, so that’s all right. i quite like a few of the tracks. yay new music.back in the good old days, i always used to have a rule. it was very simple: when getting out of bed to go to work is difficult because going to work makes me unhappy, i need to find a new job.
i’ve been systematically ignoring the rule for about six months now. perhaps it’s time to stop. they have a year. a year to stop making me miserable, sapping my energy and my joy away from me. in this year i will finish puremessage, i will finish mirapoint, and i will consider my outstanding duties discharged, and my responsibilities fulfilled. if, by that time, they are still making me feel like this, i will find a new job, regardless of my personal financial situation.for piratedan, Stephen Hawking rocks the house on “Fitter Happier.”
it’s still at least 80°F in here.
also, it’s pissing down rain outside, which will make my morning commute fun. displeased.
