“hi! have a wonderful day!”

so many women, so much makeup to be redone. Alas!

also, I have the hiccups. Dammit.

I firmly believe that if I can type ziggurat.org while drunk, blair is remiss in saying he was too drunk …or busy… to blog in austin, considering that he has a camera phone too.

have let an absurd amount of time pass without watching any of the six videos i have rented (three from netflix, three from greencine). indeed, they were sent to me before i moved; i only recently unpacked the box where they were and found them.

since i feel moderately guilty about hanging on to them for six months, i watched three of them today.

tadpole was ok, but nothing special. i guess i was hoping for something more like igby goes down, which i really like. the best part about tadpole, though, was the handheld digicam indie-film feel, really. i mean, it was okay…but i won’t feel bereft if i never watch it again.

next was a streetcar named desire, which freaks me out because i’m not used to marlon brando being hot. or, like, not psychotic or gross, actually. good film, though.

finally, i went with willard, because after streetcar, i wanted something more light. in this pursuit, i failed — i had thought that willard was a little more darkly comedic (vs. just dark) than it turned out to be. not a bad film, but disconcerting. kind of literally dark, as well — it was sometimes hard to see things on my 20″ tv. and, as much as i like morgan/wong collaborations, naming the cat scully really jarred me out of the film; i was sitting there trying to figure out if they actually meant anything by it or were just trying to make a cute x-files reference.

the video for “ben” as a dvd extra is just odd. not to mention the commentary that you can optionally watch it with: next time you people at new line get crispin glover to commentate a production of his, take away his methamphetamines first, okay? i swear he didn’t stop talking long enough to draw a single breath.

this leaves me with star trek II: the wrath of khan, urbania, and 24 hours in london yet to watch. i might watch one tomorrow, or not. six hours in front of the teevee today was kind of a lot.

sleepy now. nite nite.
